The Picnic averages 63 booths, which include, games of chance, raffles and food and beverages. The famous home cooked chicken dinner is always a family favorite. St. Joseph Children's Home first opened its doors in 1849 after a catastrophic plague orphaned large numbers of Louisville's children.
