400-450 package handlers (hub and ramp-primarily hub)
$8.50 per hour
200 driver helpers
$12.88 per hour
12-15 seasonal tractor trailers drivers
$16.10 per hour
Types of jobs:
Package handlers- hiring started still need approximately 400-450 employees.
Hub operator 4 shifts:
Midnight - 4 a.m., 4 a.m. - 8 a.m., 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Ramp Operator 2 shifts:
Midnight - 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Seasonal driver helper- 200 on call 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
We are in need of helpers in the extended areas:
Elizabethtown, Ft. Knox, Radcliff, Bardstown for south/central side of town.
Shelbyville, Simpsonville, Crestwood, LaGrange, Carrollton, Prospect for east side of
town.
Seasonal driver helpers typically meet the driver in the delivery area.
Seasonal tractor trailer driver 12 to 15 on call 24/7
Requires a Class A CDL with T endorsement (doubles and triples)
Two years experience
Start dates:
Worldport 2 Day Air hub/ramp employees begin October 21, 2009
Ground preload and twilight employees begin November 1, 2009
Worldport Next Day Air employees begin November 4, 2009
Driver helpers are strictly seasonal assuming they did a good job, they can apply for permanent part-time employment in January.
