A new Sullivan University pharmacy center is designed to help both students and patients. The International Center for Advanced Pharmacy Services gives students a place to counsel patients. What the patients receive is information about specific diseases, help to quit smoking, and other services.
Pharmacy Services Director James Nash explains, "This is a time where pharmacy has transitioned over the last three years from behind the counter to now getting out and actually, really talking to patients about their medication."
Sullivan's College of Pharmacy is holding a health fair Saturday on its Gardiner Lane campus. It will offer blood pressure and diabetes screenings as well as children's activities. That's Saturday from ten until two, and it's free.
