Friday afternoon, Indiana State Police arrested 26-year-old Jason Hensley at an Austin, Indiana apartment in connection with the case. Two-year-old Jacob Lord died on Wednesday of an inflicted closed head injury.

Hensley is an acquaintance of the child's mother. She originally took her son to a Scottsburg hospital with life threatening injuries. Lord was transferred to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville where he died.

Police hinted that Hensley may not be the only one responsible for Jacob's death. Hensley faces murder and felony battery charges. The investigation is continuing.
