About a million strollers sold at Target and Babies R Us are being recalled after twelve children had their fingertips amputated.
The recall involves nine models of single and double umbrella Maclaren strollers which have been sold around the country since 1999. At least twelve children have had their fingertips amputated after they placed their fingers in the hinge mechanism.
The company is offering free repair kits to fix the stroller problem. For additional information, go to www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml10/10033.html.
